One child — a small child — he died of hunger!

כֵּן, רַק הוּא גִּלָּה זֶה הַסּוֹד, זֶה סוֹד מִכָּל הָעוֹלָם וְהוּא בְּעַצְמוֹ גִּלָּה לָנוּ: אַתֶּם יוֹדְעִים מִי זֶה הָרַבִּי שֶׁל הָעוֹלָם, שֶׁל כָּל יִשְׂרָאֵל? רַבִּי נַחְמָן מִבְּרֶסְלֵב, נַ נַחְ נַחְמָ נַחְמָן מֵאוּמַן!

רַבֵּנוּ הַקָּדוֹשׁ לְבַדּוֹ הוּא גִּלָּה אֶת זֶה מַה זֶּה נַחְמָן: נַחְמָן זֶה אֲנִי! נַ נַחְ נַחְמָ נַחְמָן מֵאוּמַן זֶה אֲנִי. אֵין אַחֵר!
One child of one year passed away from me — my first child. He was a hero — he departed. He died of hunger. How much he wept: "Bread — bread — bread!"

וַאֲנִי.. אֲנִי כְּבָר חָתַמְתִּי אֶת שְׁמִי: נַ נַחְ!

אַתֶּם יוֹדְעִים מַה זֶּה נַ נַחְ? נוּ, תַּגִּידוּ, אִם אַתֶּם יוֹדְעִים אָז תַּגִּידוּ מַה זֶּה נַ נַחְ?

He suffered such hunger — I am not exaggerating — I am not lying G-d forbid. This is still not even a drop from the sea of what I suffered for being Breslov. Where is such a thing heard in the world! I cannot tell and describe the situation as it was!

מַה זֶּה נַ נַחְ?
I was in Teveriah — my wife and the child. And I came and saw this sorrow of the slain of hunger. It is impossible to describe in the mind what this is. Such sorrow as there is none in the world. Even the slain of the sword are better than the slain of hunger.

אֲנִי.. 'רֹאשׁ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל' - רָאשֵׁי-תֵבוֹת רַבִּ"י. אֲנִי הָרַבִּי!
When I recall the days and nights that I suffered such hunger — my child suffered Gehinnom in life. Hunger is worse than a bullet. Hunger is very terrible. A one-year-old child has all the powers of all the tastes of the world — and he felt this was lacking to him. He needed bread. And he wept until he died. This is a very hard death — harder than all: hunger. There is a verse: "Better the slain of the sword than the slain of hunger." The slain of the sword: he dies — he departs. But the slain of hunger — G-d have mercy — that taste.

הַיּוֹם בַּזְּמַן הַזֶּה יִתְגַּלֶּה קְצָת רַבִּי נַחְמָן מִבְּרֶסְלֵב שֶׁהוּא לְמַעְלָה מִן הַתּוֹרָה, מִכָּל הַצַּדִּיקִים!
We had no women to marry. All the women did not want Breslov. They would say: "What — Breslov? They need neither money nor honor nor anything. For what to marry? What kind of life is this?"

הוּא בָּא לָעוֹלָם לְתַקֵּן כָּל הָעוֹלָם, כָּל הָרְשָׁעִים, כָּל הַטְּמֵאִים. כֻּלָּם יִהְיוּ נְקִיִּים וְיִהְיוּ בְּיַחַד עִם הַשֵּׁם יִתְבָּרַךְ, עִם הַתּוֹרָה. רַבֵּנוּ רַבִּי נַחְמָן זֶה הַשֹּׁרֶשׁ וְהָעִקָּר. כָּל דִּבּוּר שֶׁיָּצָא מִפִּיו קָּדוֹשׁ עוֹלֶה עַל הַכֹּל. כָּל דִּבּוּר שֶׁל רַבֵּנוּ זַ"ל - מִן הַשָּׁמַיִם, מִן הַשֵּׁם יִתְבָּרַךְ בְּעַצְמוֹ. כָּל הַדִּבּוּרִים שֶׁלּוֹ הֵם דִּבְרֵי הַשֵּׁם מַמָּשׁ! יֵשׁ כְּבָר עֵצוֹת מֵרַבֵּנוּ הַקָּדוֹשׁ - מִן הַשֵּׁם יִתְבָּרַךְ, רַבֵּנוּ הַקָּדוֹשׁ הוּא קִבֵּל מֵהַשֵּׁם יִתְבָּרַךְ!
No — Breslov Chassidim say: "Money is nothing — we do not need money. And honor is nothing — we do not need honor. No honor and no money." Nu — what then is needed?

אִם רַבֵּנוּ הַקָּדוֹשׁ הָיָה מִתְגַּלֶּה בָּעוֹלָם - הָיָה הָעוֹלָם כֻּלָּם צַדִּיקִים קְדוֹשִׁים אֲמִתִּיִּים...
The entire world did not want to take Breslov for a match: "He is Breslov? Nu — let us go…"

עַכְשָׁו צָרִיךְ לָבוֹא בָּעוֹלָם הָאוֹר שֶׁל רַבֵּנוּ הַקָּדוֹשׁ שֶׁהוּא הָרַבִּי שֶׁל כָּל הַתּוֹרָה, שֶׁל כָּל הַצַּדִּיקִים. מִתְגַּלֶּה בָּעוֹלָם פְּלָאוֹת כָּאֵלֶּה, חָכְמָה כָּזֶה, אֱמֶת כָּזֶה שֶׁעֲדַיִן לֹא נִתְגַּלָּה בָּעוֹלָם, וְזֶהוּ רַבֵּנוּ הַקָּדוֹשׁ, הוּא הַמַּפְתֵּחַ שֶׁל הַכֹּל. הַבַּעַל-דָּבָר סוֹגֵר, וְרַבֵּנוּ הַקָּדוֹשׁ פּוֹתֵחַ! רַבֵּנוּ הַקָּדוֹשׁ פּוֹתֵחַ כָּל הַשְּׁעָרִים שֶׁל הַתְּשׁוּבָה וְשֶׁל הַכֹּל, שֶׁל כָּל הַתִּקּוּנִים. כָּל הַמַּפְתְּחוֹת אֶצְלוֹ, וְהוּא פּוֹתֵחַ בְּמַפְתֵּחַ אֶחָד כָּל הָאוֹרוֹת! דָּבָר כָּזֶה עוֹד לֹא הָיָה בָּעוֹלָם...
There are no words to speak — it is impossible to tell — describe — speak. However much you hear: this is still not a drop from the sea of what was — what we suffered — only for being Breslov. Still not a drop from the sea…

הָעִקָּר הוּא רַק רַבֵּנוּ הַקָּדוֹשׁ, זֶה צָרִיךְ לְהָאִיר לְכָל הָעוֹלָם, לְכָל יִשְׂרָאֵל. כָּל זְמַן שֶׁזֶּה עֲדַיִן לֹא נִתְגַּלָּה - אֵין לָנוּ כְּלוּם!
In Teveriah and in Tsfas and in Yerushalayim there were two Breslovers: Rabbi Yisroel Kardoner and Yisroel Ber!
Segment 27
הָעוֹלָם בְּלִי רַבֵּנו הוּא.. אֵין לוֹ כְּלוּם, אֵין לוֹ שׁוּם חִיּוּת כְּלָל. רַבֵּנוּ הַקָּדוֹשׁ הוּא עָלָה עַל כָּל הַחָכְמוֹת, עַל כָּל הַתּוֹרָה, עַל כָּל הַצַּדִּיקִים, עַל הַכֹּל. רַבֵּנוּ הַקָּדוֹשׁ הוּא הָאַבָּא, הוּא הָאִמָּא, הוּא הַכֹּל. הוּא הַתּוֹרָה, הוּא הָאֱמוּנָה, הוּא הַכֹּל! הַכֹּל רַבֵּנוּ! בְּלִי רַבֵּנוּ אֲנַחְנוּ חֲסֵרִים הַכֹּל, בִּלְעָדָיו אֵין לָנוּ כְּלוּם. עִם רַבֵּנוּ הַקָּדוֹשׁ - הַכֹּל, הַכֹּל טוֹב...
They laughed at us. But in our hearts we laughed at them. The Likutay Halachos and the Likutay Moharan — I do not know how it came about in the world. We laughed at all of them! We printed!

רַבֵּנו הַקָּדוֹשׁ אוֹמֵר שֶׁהוּא מְלַמֵּד אֶת הַשֵּׁם יִתְבָּרַךְ אֵיךְ לְהִתְנַהֵג אִתָּנוּ, הוּא נוֹתֵן לוֹ עֵצוֹת. מִי אָמַר דִּבּוּרִים כָּאֵלֶּה!
"There will yet be much to tell of my people." Our holy Rabbenu said: "There will be much to speak and tell of my people — what heroes they are!"

הוּא יְתַקֵּן כָּל הָעוֹלָם, כָּל אֶחָד וְאֶחָד בִּשְׁלֵמוּת, תִּקּוּן גָּמוּר. כָּל הַתִּקּוּנִים תָּלוּי רַק בַּהִתְקָרְבוּת לְרַבֵּנוּ. כָּל הַתִּקּוּן שֶׁלָּנוּ, שֶׁל כָּל הָעוֹלָם - תָּלוּי רַק בַּהִתְקָרְבוּת לְרַבֵּנוּ. תִּקּוּנִים, תִּקּוּנִים כָּאֵלֶּה שֶׁעֲדַיִן לֹא הָיָה בָּעוֹלָם. הוּא יְתַקֵּן אוֹתָנוּ וְאֶת כָּל הַפּוֹשְׁעִים וְכָל הָרְשָׁעִים. יֵשׁ דְּבָרִים שֶׁאִי אֶפְשָׁר לְתַקֵּן, אֲבָל הוּא עוֹשֶׂה חָדָשׁ! בְּרֶגַע אֶחָד הוּא מֵאִיר כָּל הָעוֹלָם, מַכְנִיס אֵשׁ בְּכָל הָעוֹלָם. הוּא יָכוֹל לִבְרֹא עוֹלָם חָדָשׁ - בְּרֶגַע אֶחָד!

הוּא הַכֹּל אֶצְלוֹ, בֵּית-הַמִּקְדָּשׁ, הַקֹּדֶשׁ-הַקָּדָשִׁים, אֶבֶן-הַשְּׁתִיָּה - הַכֹּל אֶצְלוֹ, הוּא עוֹלֶה עַל הַכֹּל! כָּל הַתּוֹרָה מְקַבְּלִים מֵרַבֵּנוּ, קֹדֶשׁ קָדָשִׁים מְקַבֵּל מֵרַבֵּנוּ, כֻּלָּם יוֹנְקִים מִמֶּנּוּ. הוּא גוֹאֵל מוֹשִׁיעַ, הוּא הַכֹּל, רַבֵּנוּ הַקָּדוֹשׁ!

רַבֵּנוּ הַקָּדוֹשׁ הוּא בְּעַצְמוֹ יְטַפֵּל בְּהַכֹּל. הוּא בְּיָדוֹ הַכֹּל, כָּל הַבְּרִיאָה, כָּל הָעוֹלָם, כָּל הַתּוֹרָה, כָּל יִשְׂרָאֵל. זֶה עִנְיָן פֶּלֶא שֶׁלֹּא הָיָה מֵעוֹלָם, בָּא בִּזְמַן הַגְּאֻלָּה...
Our holy Rabbenu — Rabbi Nachman of Breslov — he is our Rebbi and the Rebbi of all Israel. He has all manner of counsels — all manner of healings for each and every one according to what he needs. The Rebbi has already prepared for us the Likutay Moharan — the Likutay Tfilos — the Likutay Halachos — the Likutay Aytzos. He has already prepared everything for us! For each and every one. The healings and the salvations and the repairs.

כַּמָּה שֶׁאֲנַחְנוּ יוֹדְעִים אֵינוֹ כְּטִפָּה מִן הַיָּם מֵעִנְיַן גְּדֻלָּתוֹ שֶׁל רַבֵּנוּ. הַכֹּל לֹא בָּא בְּחֶשְׁבּוֹן, לֹא כְּלוּם נֶגֶד גְּדֻלָּתוֹ. "אֲנִי נָהָר הַמְטַהֵר מִכָּל הַכְּתָמִים", מִי, אֵיזֶה צַדִּיק אָמַר דָּבָר כָּזֶה, אִם לֹא מָשִׁיחַ!
And the Rebbi — one must seek very greatly a Rebbi: a Rebbi who can help us. The Rebbi of the world is our holy Rabbenu: Rabbi Na Nach Nachma Nachman MayUman! He is the Rebbi of all the world — of all Israel. He is the Rebbi of the Torah and of all Israel!

הִגִּיעַ הַזְּמַן שֶׁיִּתְגַּלֶּה בָּעוֹלָם הַ'לִּקּוּטֵי תְּפִלּוֹת', אֲנַחְנוּ לֹא יוֹדְעִים כְּלוּם אֵיזֶה פְּעֻלּוֹת הוּא עוֹשֶׂה בָּעוֹלָם. כָּל דִּבּוּר שֶׁלּוֹ הוּא תִּקּוּנִים וְחִיּוּת כָּל הָעוֹלָם!
Now the light of our holy Rabbenu must come into the world. He is the Rebbi of all the Torah — of all the tzadikim. Such wonders are revealed in the world — such wisdom — such truth as has not yet been revealed in the world. And this is our holy Rabbenu — he is the key to everything! Every word that our holy Rabbenu revealed in the world — an entirely new world was made. He said that every word encompasses all the Torah and all the tzadikim and all of Israel — in one word! So he can encompass all the Torah in one word.

כְּשֶׁצְּרִיכִים רְפוּאָה, אוֹמְרִים הַ'תִּקּוּן הַכְּלָלִי', מִי שֶׁחַס-וְשָׁלוֹם נָפַל, אָז תֵּכֶף - הוּא כְּאִלּוּ לֹא קָרָה כְּלוּם. 'תִּקּוּן הַכְּלָלִי' - זֶה אוֹר שֶׁל מָשִׁיחַ!
One word of Rabbenu transforms the entire world — all the wise men. He shows them they know nothing. He surpassed all the great ones — everything. And his truth: there is no truth like this — no wisdom like this. The entire world cannot stand against one word of Rabbenu. אֲנַחְנוּ צְרִיכִים לִמְסֹר כָּל נַפְשֵׁנוּ וְזַרְעֵנוּ עַל זֶה, שֶׁיִּהְיֶה בְּכָל מָקוֹם סִפְרֵי רַבֵּנוּ זַ"ל, אָז יִהְיֶה הַגְּאֻלָּה הַשְּׁלֵמָה, גְּאֻלָּה כָּזֶה שֶׁלֹּא הָיָה מֵעוֹלָם!
One could expire from the greatness of the life-force of every word that our holy Rabbenu revealed in the world. Every word of his is a fountain — it is the sea of wisdom. One word is the great sea — the sea of wisdom — such a sea! A sea of new salvations and new healings as has never yet been. One word of his that he reveals — he renews and heals the entire world — all the heretics — all the wicked. Complete heretics — and they will become holy tzadikim. One word is sufficient for the entire world.

כָּל מִי שֶׁרוֹצֶה לְרַחֵם עַל עַצְמוֹ וְעַל בָּנָיו שֶׁיִּקְנֶה סִפְרֵי רַבִּי נַחְמָן וְיַעֲסֹק בָּהֶם וִיקַיֵּם אוֹתָם, אָז יִהְיֶה עוֹלָם חָדָשׁ לְגַמְרֵי...
The great sea would not suffice to write of the greatness of Rabbenu, may his memory be blessed. With every word of his he can conquer the entire world…
Segment 95
תַּם וְנִשְׁלַם, שֶׁבַח לָאֵל בּוֹרֵא עוֹלָם.
There will yet be a time when I hope to Hashem — perhaps I will merit to overcome through prayers and to continue and tell what our holy Rabbenu is. Every word spoken of our holy Rabbenu is a great sweetening for the entire world. All the salvations of each and every one of Israel every day and at every moment: at our holy Rabbenu's.

בָּרוּךְ הַנּוֹתֵן לַיָּעֵף כֹּח
Our holy Rabbenu is the chosen one of all the generations. He is the greatest doctor in every generation. Every word of his is healing and salvation for us and for all our generations — forever and ever! In every Torah teaching and teaching that Rabbenu revealed: he is the existence of all the world and all our descendants until the end. Everything depends on Rabbenu — all the Torah and the emunah — all our lives in this world and in the World to Come: this is only Rabbenu!
