(לט) שמעתי בשמו שאמר על אחד שבא אליו רגלי שאמר אז, ומה אם נבוכדנאצר הרשע שבשביל שהלך שלש פסיעות ברגליו זכה למלוכה וממשלה גדולה מפלגת כזאת, כשאחד מישראל הולך להצדיק פרסה ויותר, כמה וכמה יזכה על ידי זה עין לא ראתה.
כמדמה שאמר זאת על איש אחד מטירהאוויצע שהיה דרכו בכל עת לבוא אליו רגלי מטירהאוויצע לברסלב שהם ארבע עשרה פרסאות שלנו הגדולים, ופעם אחת עמדתי לפניו זכרונו לברכה בעת שבא אליו רגלי האיש הנ"ל מטיראוויצע, וספר לי הוא זכרונו לברכה שבעת שצר לזה האיש הנ"ל בעבודת ה', הוא הולך ברגליו משם לכאן. והבנתי שהוטב זאת בעיניו ז"ל מאד. וכן פעם אחת נפטר לעולמו אחד מבני הנעורים מנעמרוב שהיה ממקרביו, וספר הוא זכרונו לברכה גם כן בשבחו ואמר עליו, שדרכו היה שתכף כשהיה צר לו באיזה דבר ביהדותו, הלך ברגליו משם לכאן, אשרי להם:

I heard in his name that he said regarding one who came to him on foot: "And how much more so — if the wicked Nebuchadnezzar, because he walked three steps on his feet, merited such exceedingly great kingship and dominion: when one of Israel walks to the tzaddik a parsah and more — how very much will he merit through this — 'an eye has not seen it.'"
It seems he said this about one man from Tiraovitze whose custom was at every time to come to him on foot from Tiraovitze to Breslov — which is fourteen of our large parsaos. And once I stood before him o.b.m. at the time when the aforementioned man from Tiraovitze came to him on foot. And he told me then... that when this aforementioned man was pressed in his service of Hashem, he would walk on his feet from there to here. And I understood that this was very pleasing in the eyes of him za.tza.l. And likewise, once one of the young men of Nemyriv, who was among those close to him, passed away, and he o.b.m. also told of his praise and said of him that his way was that immediately when he was pressed in some matter of his Judaism, he would walk on his feet from there to here — fortunate are they:
