He greatly loved the simple service of simple G-d-fearing people etc. And he greatly loved those who could say many supplications and petitions from within the large siddurs etc. — as is printed in Likutay Tinyana, Torah 104. And he said: "I am jealous of R"Y, the son-in-law of R"Y, who can say much" — meaning that in Breslov there was a man who was accustomed to say many supplications, Psalms, and devotions every day. And Rabbainu o.b.m. said... he could say much. That is: there was in Breslov a man accustomed to say many supplications, Psalms, and devotions every day, and Rabbainu o.b.m. said that he envies this man who can say much. And also he himself o.b.m., before the grave illness came upon him by which he passed away — before that, all his days he would sing many songs (zemiros) every Sabbath and at the close of the Sabbath. And whoever did not hear him when he would sing on the Sabbath — [singing] "Azamer Bishvochin" at the Sabbath meal on Sabbath eve, and "Asader Leseudasa" in the morning, and likewise the other songs: "Kol Mekadesh" and "Menucha" and "Simcha," etc. — never heard anything good in all his life.
