(122.) I heard from his holy mouth an awesome conversation about the awesomeness of the greatness of the Creator, may He be blessed — and it is impossible to explain it in writing. But afterwards through this he entered into words of strengthening — that even if one had fallen to whatever place he had fallen — each one according to his fall, G-d save us — even so, one should strengthen oneself and never despair. For His greatness, may He be blessed, is exalted very far above the Torah — where everything can be repaired etc. — for repentance is above... ...the Torah. And I asked him: "But how does one merit this?" And he answered: "One can come to this — only that one not despair of the crying and prayer and supplication. Rather one should engage in crying and prayer and supplication etc. — and never toil-limit oneself until one comes to this, to ascend etc." For the essence of repentance is crying out and screaming to Hashem Yisburach etc. (There, marking 27 — see there, wondrous things.)
