(125.) "The essence of hope — through the aspect of 'above time' that the tzaddikim attain who are in the aspect of Messiah." As I understood from his holy mouth that he said near his passing — that he is now going with the discourse he revealed [Likutay Tinyana, Torah 61] on the verse "I today have begotten you" — which is the aspect of above time etc. And it is impossible to explain this matter in writing at all. Only what I understood from his words: that he said this regarding the matter that... ...that he was toiling with such greatly great exertions to draw many souls close to Hashem Yisburach — and it had still not succeeded according to his desire. And the controversies and hindrances in physicality and spirituality were greatly, greatly growing and spreading, in the general and in the particular, upon each and every one — until the power of endurance faltered, and many stumbled and fell through this etc. And regarding this he said that he revives himself through the matter of "I today have begotten you" — meaning that Hashem Yisburach will help us to leap over everything, and in the ultimate end the truth will be revealed, and we will all return to Hashem Yisburach in truth — and the first days will fall away.
